World Team Tennis

Matches begin on Randall's Island July 7th.

The NY Sportimes welcome you to a season of firsts! 2009 will be the team’s first at our new home on Randall’s Island, Manhattan, and the first year since 1978 that NYC has been home to a WTT franchise. With the completion of Sportime’s $15 million tennis center on Randall’s Island, the NY Sportimes will be playing at an intimate tennis stadium custom built for our team. Our franchise has dedicated itself to the continuing renaissance of Randall’s Island by teaming with the Randall’s Island Sports Foundation so proceeds from the operation of the team will benefit the Foundation and the tens of thousands of New Yorkers, and especially NYC children, whom it serves. Together, the team and the Foundation will also make the WTT experience accessible to thousands of under-resourced City kids and families, who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the excitement of professional tennis, right in their neighborhood.
